Highlights

The most important information about our system that you should know before you get started. The Pictor system consists of two applications:

  • Pictor Player – content player, you install it on a computer usually placed behind the TV, which acts as a content player.
  • Pictor Manager – is used to manage what is to be displayed on the player. You can install it on as many computers as you wish to manage your presentations from.

In addition, the Pictor Manager mobile app for Android is published in the Google Play shop, which is used to control and change selected playback parameters. Read more about the construction of the system.


To use Pictor Digital Signage, you need to

  1. Install Pictor Player on the computer that will act as the player. If you have bought a device (minicomputer) with the program installed this step can be skipped.
  2. Install Pictor Manager on the computer from which you want to manage the system.
  3. Register the player in Pictor Manager.

Installation of Pictor Player

To install Pictor Player you need to:

  1. Download Pictor Player from our website.
  2. He will install the programme on the computer, which will act as a player.
  3. Run Pictor Player.
  4. Read the connection ID and password, which is displayed in the top right corner of the Pictor Player window.

You will use this data to register the player in Pictor Manager. The connection data will disappear after activation of the licence.

Security. the program is digitally signed and guaranteed to be free of threats. Moni to some antivirus systems consider it to be unsafe.


If you minimise Pictor Player, you can have both Pictor Player and Pictor Manager running on one computer for testing purposes. To minimise the Pictor Player window to a typical Windows program window, click ESC.

To manage Pictor Player, you must register it with the Pictor Manager management software.

Pictor Manager installation

Download and install Pictor Manager on your chosen computer. You use this program to manage your Pictor Player content and appearance. You can install Pictor Manager on as many computers as you want and connect to multiple Pictor Players.


Once you have made changes to the player configuration, you can turn off Pictor Manager. All data is saved on the player.

Pictor Manager player registration

In Pictor Manager, do the following:


  1. Click the Add button on the Your Players tab. The button is located in the bottom menu of the window. 
  2. Enter the connection ID and password. You can read these details from the Pictor Player window. Optionally, you can enter the IP address of the player on your local network. 
  3. Optionally, click Test connection. Check that you have not made a mistake when entering the data. 
  4. Confirm with Ok. 

The registered player appears in the list of your players. If you have more players, they will all be in this list.

Connect to player

To connect to the player you need to:

  1. Select a player in the Your players list.
  2. Click Connect in the menu at the bottom of the window.
Double-click the player row in the list to start the connection.


Log in

Whichever way you connect to the player, you must additionally log in by entering your user name and password. The login window should appear automatically. You can also call it up by clicking the Login option on the right-hand side of the menu bar.

Jf you think your computer is secure, you can tick Remember me so that you do not have to enter your username and password every time.

 
The user's default password must be changed after the first login.

When you connect to the player, a new connections tab will open. At the top you will see a simple menu.

Change of content

In the Content tab, you change the images and other content that is displayed on the player's screen.
